Extra Mile: Would it be cheeper to buy the buns at the supermarket (regular bag of 8 buns for $2.00) or at Cosco (a bulk bag of 20 buns for $3.75)? Explain your answer.
8×10=80 4 leftover answer is 10 packages
If you buy 10 packages there would be 4 leftover buns. I got my answer by doing 8×10 and got 80.

I got my answer by dividing 76 by 8 equals 9 with a remainder of 4. Even though I used the numbers the word problem provided me with, they don’t sell them in packages with a remainder, so I had to round my answer up to 10 packs.
I would rather buy them at Cosco. This is because at Cosco it’s $15 for the buns, but at the supermarket it’s $20. I got the $20 by doing $2 x 10 equals 20. I got the $15 by doing $3.75 x 4. I only need 4 packages at Cosco because they sell them in packs of 20 instead of packs of 8. I counted by 20’s to get to the 80 buns I needed.
I would do 8x_=76.It equals 56 and then get 20 more buns.Or get some extra more bags of buns.Thats how I got my answer.

I found my answer by multiplying 8 and 9=72. But they need 76 so they need 1 more packege of buns. And it will be chepper at cosco because $3.75 times 4= 15.00. Also $2.00 times 9= 18.00. So it is deffintly chepper at cosco.

my answer was 9. I got it by 76/8 but there is a remainder the a remainder is 4 because 8×9=72 and thats the closes. Thats my answer.
The answer is 10 packages.
76 divided by 8 =9 with a remainder of 4. 8×9 is only 72 and you need 76 buns. You should buy and extra package and have 4buns left. over.

Costco: 80 buns divided by 20 buns =4bags needed to get 80 buns. $3.75 x4bags=$15.00

You will have to buy 10 packages because if you divide 76/8 you will get 9.5. So you would have to buy 10 packages but you will still have 4 left over.

76-8=68 I got this answer by subtracting 76-8. The answer I got was 68.

8 goes into 76, 9 times. 8×9=72. 76-72=4. 9 remainder is 4.
I got my answer by doing long division. First I figured out how many times 8 goes into 76. I got 9.Then I did 8×9=72. Then I did 76-72=4. Finally I got 9 packages with a remainder of 4 buns.
You need 10 bags of hamburger buns because 9 bags only have 72 buns because 9×8=72. So you would need 10 bags of hamburgers because 10×8=80. Even though 8×9 has less than 76 hamburger buns, you wouldn’t have enough. I know that 10 bags is enough because 10×8=80 and 8×9=72 and that is not enough buns.

I used my 8 times tables and I came up with 8 x 10 = 80
I then used subtraction 80-76=4
So I would have 4 buns left over.
