A window into our classroom!

Extra Science Fun!!

Since our class is slightly ahead of the other classes and we were able to begin our next science unit early, I thought that we would have a little extra fun!

We are learning all about Matter (study guide will be posted on Monday) and how the three most common forms (phases) are solid, liquid, and gas. We have also been learning about each phase’s properties and how properties are used to classify objects.

Well today we made a Non-Newtonian Liquid…or a liquid that does not necessarily follow the normal “rules” of being a liquid. When pressure is applied to this liquid, it turns into a solid for a few moments! Cool right?!?!

Below are a few links for you to visit with your child if you would like to explore this concept more.

Have fun!!!
