Tonight beginning at 6:09pm is the Transit of Venus.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate because this will not happen again for another 105 years!! For anyone interested Stony Brook University is holding a public viewing.

What is the Transit of Venus?
When Venus passes directly between earth and the sun, we see the distant planet as a small dot gliding slowly across the face of the sun. Historically, this rare alignment is how we measured the size of our solar system. The view is like a front row seat to the transit method, by which we now find planets around distant stars.
Dear Mrs. Spata,
I just wanted to know if my mom could come in for the end of the year tie dye event on June 12. I know my mom has already came in for the Native American event, but whoever else volunteers that hasn’t gone, you can pick them.If nobody else can make it, then my mom is available. Thanks!
Sorry! I ment June 19! 🙂
