Parents as Reading Partners is a program designed to encourage reading as a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy. This includes reading a book together or reading silently side-by-side.
This year the program will run from January 3-29 and our reading theme is “Winter”.
To participate, each student, along with his or her reading partner, are asked to read together for a minimum of 15 minutes a day for 4 days each week. (This includes the weekend days.)
Please fill in the weekly Reading Log and hand it in to school on Mondays.
Students who participate for all 4 weeks will receive a certificate of accomplishment with a homework pass. They will all also have their name put into a raffle for a Barnes and Noble gift card.
If our class has 100% participation…I will rent us a movie and we will celebrate with a movie afternoon!!!! :O)
