Mrs. Spata’s Fourth Grade Blog

A window into our classroom!

Alumni Page

After speaking with a former student…

I realized how great it would be to have a page for past students to write to me and to each other. BE RESPONSIBLE with what you are posting!! This is not your chance to text each other…this is a place to write each other in complete sentences. I am up to over 80 countries reading this blog! Use this chance to show off!

Well i’d just like to brag that i’m the former student you spoke to πŸ˜€

Anyway I can’t believe I haven’t had you as a teacher in 8 years… it feels like just yesterday it we had our “Author’s Tea” and we all read our stories. Haha, and I remember Mrs. Kline (I think that’s how you spell her name) talking to us for an hour about how we have to donate money to make new playgrounds. Ahh, good times. I’ll miss 1st grade, 9th grade is so different than the easy times at Tackan. And don’t worry, I’ll bring Jake Darpa with me next time so it can really be like old times. See ya Ms. Coco

Matt- It was so great to speak with you the other day! Glad your doing so well! I wasn’t sure if you wanted your name on my post…lol! Happy to say it was you that helped me come up with this idea. Only problem is that my older students don’t know me as Mrs. Spata so they will not find this blog on their own. Spread the word!!! It would be fun to hear from others from your year. :O)

Do you remember me? I was in you class when i was in 4th grade. Now i’m in middle school. I miss you a lot and unlike last year, i can’t just pop into your class and say “Hello!” because we’re in two different schools. Middle school is fun. I like the fact that we have multiple teachers. It’s fun to meet lots of people and make new friends. I’ll miss you!

    Dear Mrs. Spata,

I think your blog is so awesome! I played the rice game and once earned 500 grains of rice for a hungy person. Native American day was amazing and I enjoyed making rainsticks, drums, and doing the magnificent pow wow.

    Your Math Maticion,
    Amanda

  16. sspata says:

Thank you Amanda. I am glad that you had a good time during Native American Day!! :O)

  17. Ingrid says:

    Hi Mrs.Spata πŸ˜€
I’m so jelly-ish (my word meaning the combination of being excited and scared at the same time) right now. Today, I just won the spelling bee in class (i was pretty impressed myself. Usually, my spelling is TERRIBLE). Anyways, I also won this thing called the geo bee. It’s like the spelling bee, but with geography. I really don’t know how i won that either, because I usually find social studies quite a bore. I just got news of when they were, and I found out that they’re one after the other. One is on a Monday, and the others on a tuesday. Now my mom is making me study a lot… Well, Great Hollow is really fun and I miss you! πŸ˜€
P.S. My orchestra concert is tomorrow, and for the in-school concert, I’m gonna wear a tie πŸ˜€
    ~Ingrid

  18. sspata says:

Wow! How exciting Ingrid!! I am very proud of you!! Good luck at your concert! :O)

  19. Amanda says:

    Hi Mrs. Spata,
Native Amaerican Day #2 was so cool. I loved walking through the mini longhouse. Touching all of the animal hairs was amazing too. At the end of the day, we made clay pots and they turned out really beautiful. I think that was the most fun part of the entire day. Thankyou so much for participating in arranging it for us. We al, loved it and hope there is an Native American Day #3!!!

    Your Math Matcion,
    Amanda

  20. Ingrid says:

I’M SO HAPPY! πŸ˜€ I just got highest honors for the second time in a row (straight As) πŸ˜€ Yey :3

I am so proud of you Ingrid!!! Super work!!! :O)

  22. Amanda says:

    Dear Mrs. Spata,
I got a book at the book fair called Matched. I haven’t read it but it sounds really exiting. It is a book where a community chooses who you marry and when you die. Just reading the back made me want to read it already. In the begining of the year I really did not like to read on my free time or even LIKE to read but since I have been reading so many good books my level that you chose for me, I have been reading nonstop. I love the adventures that I’ve been taken on with Miyax and thw wolves and so many other characters. I love reading so much that I even got my mother into reading a book where you are left on the edge of your seat. She took the book to the gym and when she got to the end of a chapter, she needed to read more so she did. Thank you for getting me to read these books. I love them! So does my mom!
    Love,
    Amanda

  23. sspata says:

    Amanda,
I am very happy to hear that you have found joy in reading! I also love the adventures that I can have while reading! Keep it up!!
