As a culminating activity for our Native American Unit we will be having a Native American Day.

The kids will be rotating from room to room creating different crafts.  At the end of the day we will be having a pow-wow.

For these crafts we ask for the following supplies: a Pringles container, which is used to create a rainstick and a coffee can (tin or plastic but without a handle) to create a drum.  Please have these supplies labeled and to school no later than November 15th.

**We will need 4 parents to help with the crafts.  It will be on Tuesday, November 19th from 10:30-12:40.  Please contact me either on this blog, by email, or write me a note if you would like to volunteer. If I have more than 4 volunteers, I will place your names in a hat to choose.

Thank you for your support!

Free math app for ipad

math ap

***Special limited time offer: download now for FREE!***

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/teachley-addimal-adventure/id661286973

Developed by former teachers and experts in children’s cognition and learning, Addimal Adventure is an engaging game that teaches single-digit addition. The Addimal characters model effective strategies for solving math facts. Children practice using these strategies during the tool round, while the speed round encourages memorization, providing hints as needed.

Most addition apps focus on drill with digital worksheets and flashcards. In contrast, our app teaches effective math strategies and scaffolds learning to promote conceptual understanding and fact fluency.

Designed for Response to Intervention programs, Addimal Adventure is a great tool for classroom teachers looking to differentiate instruction for students. Our app is also great for parents who want to support their children’s learning.

Recommended Grades: K-2, 3-5 (intervention)

Meets Common Core Math Content Standards:

*This app was made possible by the Federal Department of Education, with funding provided by the Institute of Education Sciences’ SBIR program.
